Madeleine Grant is a graduate of the University of British Columbia's Film Production program. Her previous work has played at numerous international film festivals, including the Vancouver International Film Festival and the Montreal World Film Festival. In 2014 Madeleine’s first feature documentary ‘The Backward Class’ had its world premiere at the Hot Docs International Film Festival, where it won the Audience Choice Award. Madeleine was also the recipient of the Hot Docs Lindalee Tracey Award, in honour of an emerging Canadian filmmaker whose work displays a passionate point of view, a strong sense of social justice, and a certain joie de vivre. After five years of dividing her time between rural India and Canada, Madeleine is currently predominantly based in Vancouver, B.C.
Jessica Cheung has produced and production managed numerous films that have successfully screened at film festivals around the world, including the Toronto International Film Festival, Montreal World Film Festival and Austin Film Festival. She produced The Anachronism, which garnered 6 Leo Awards including Best Short Drama, and most recently Jessica produced A.J. Bond’s Telefilm Canada supported feature “Stress Position”. The 2014 Hot Docs Audience Award winner “The Backward Class” marks Jessica’s first documentary feature with frequent collaborator writer/director Madeleine Grant. Jessica is also a graduate of the Producer's Lab at the Canadian Film Centre. She is currently based in Toronto, Ontario.

Aynsley Baldwin is a Vancouver-based editor, and active member of the post production community. Since 2005, she has been a part of Brightlight Pictures, Make Believe Media, Omni Film, Force Four, and Foundation Features productions. She has edited a handful of award-winning short films, including Scooter Corkle's 2009 Bloodshots success "Chloe and Attie", a feature adaptation of which is currently in development. 2010 found Aynsley traveling to South India as a location sound recordist on "The Backward Class". Following her return, Aynsley edited a documentary created by Salazar Film for Red Bull TV Austria on Vancouver's burgeoning "The Cheaper Show" art exhibition. During the same year, she delved into visual effects editing and production with Twentieth Century Fox Vancouver, and was later involved with post production on Robert Redford's "The Company You Keep". Currently, Aynsley is with Image Engine Visual Effects as the VFX Editor on "Child 44". "The Backward Class" is her debut feature as editor.
Nathan Drillot currently resides in Vancouver, Canada, however he spends the majority of his time traveling, meeting strangers, and filming their stories. He and his partner Jeff Lee Petry write and direct under the name SALAZAR, while running a boutique production company (Salazar Film) specializing in documentary, broadcast documentary and branded documentary content. In the last year Nathan traveled to the deep south to shoot over 1500 portraits of LGBTQ America for Self Evident Truths, told the story of the only Muslim professional sumo wrestler living in Tokyo, and received a Grammy nomination for his documentary work with Warner Brothers recording artists Tegan and Sara.
Edo Van Breemen is a composer & producer with background in classical piano and a long record of playing in a variety of bands from Vancouver, Canada. His stylistic versatility and ability to musically interpret narratives in an emotionally compelling manner have made him a go-to composer for a rapidly growing pool of renowned film directors and commercial production houses worldwide. He has won the SOCAN Echo Prize for “Best Song of 2010” with his internationally acclaimed band "Brasstronaut", been nominated for the Polaris Prize, and had film scores debut at Cannes, L.A. Short Film Fest, Toronto International Film Fest, and Hot Docs Festival. Edo currently splits his time between Vancouver, BC, and his studio in Brooklyn, NY where he collaborates with a variety of artists including Rafiq Bhatia and Alexander Overington, co-producer of NPR's "Meet the Composer" and fellow producer.
